‘A Beautiful Sacrifice’ Photoshoot

Today was the day of the shoot for my A/W 2011 collection ‘A Beautiful Sacrifice’. We decided to return to the gardens we used for the location photos for the ‘Welcome to the Tea Party’ collection at Castle Bromwich as we thought that the garden location would also suit this collection perfectly.
We woke up very early in order to prepare for the shoot to begin at 9:00. It was quite a windy and cool morning which made the shoot a little difficult. The equipment kept blowing over so we had to be careful whilst shooting. The shoot was also made a little more stressful by the fact that we also had limited time to shoot at the gardens. We did however manage to get all of the photographs that we needed, so all of our effort was really worth it in the end.
I am so happy with the images that we took, they are exactly what I was hoping for. I’m also so glad that we decided to shoot at the gardens again as they really are so beautiful.

UK Lingerie Awards 2011

The UK Lingerie Awards are new for 2011, launched by Lingerie Insight. The awards aim to ‘celebrate the extraordinary talent and hard work by hundreds of professionals that make up this most glamorous industry’.

Voting runs until 30 June 2011 at which point judges Claire Franks (Founder, Intimate Apparel Consultancy), Gillian Proctor (Course Leader, De Montfort University), June Kenton (Owner, Rigby & Peller), Kelly Isaac (Founder, Lingerie Collective) and Sharon Webb (Head of Lingerie Buying and Design, Debenhams) will decide the winners.

Its so exciting to have my designs being sold by a company in Ireland! After speaking with Bella Bella Boutique on Twitter on a few occasions, I let them know that my new website was now live. They then decided that they would like to stock some of the pieces from ‘A Parisian Romance’. They decided to stock the corsets and girdles from this collection (Aria, Belle, Jenevieve, Leighton, Lydia and Sophia). Its so exciting to be on another website which offers pieces from designers from all over the world!

Since it was coming up to my birthday, I thought it would be nice to celebrate it by offering a day of discount on my website. Due to the fact that it was my 23rd birthday, I thought it would be fun to offer 23% off, so on the day I informed people of the code ‘bday’ on my facebook page. I was so happy because the offer was very successful, and it was really nice to share my birthday celebration!
